Boulder Manchester – it’s fantastic!
Once the nights draw in, and the weather starts to turn, those evening bouldering trips out to Wimberry, Parisella’s, The Roaches and Widdop seem less enticing; but what to do instead? Well worry not for your psyche-levels and fitness, Manchester Climbing Centre has the answer, Boulder Manchester!
With a host of boulder problems set by British team members and IFSC World-Cup athletes, the quality is super-high. The Boulder Manchester bouldering competition series will run over five rounds, each having their own very special team of setters.
Prizes have been donated by a host of high-profile sponsors, and the stack of prizes is already huge, allowing for prizes at each round as well as for the overall winners of the series. The aim of Boulder Manchester is to test the metal of Manchester’s climbing and bouldering community, but also to be fun and provide a great reason for us all to meet up and climb together. Whether you are a V14 climbing beast, or new to the sport of bouldering, each round is designed with you in mind, and prizes aren’t limited to just the strongest climbers, there will be recognition of improvement through the rounds as well as spot prizes at each event. Categories in this years bouldering competition will be Adult Male, Adult Female, Male Veterans, Female Veterans, U16 Male & U16 female.
